Why secondhand

Printing on clothes that already exist keeps them in use and reduces waste. Here's what the research says.

17M tons

About 17 million tons of textiles were generated in the US in 2018. 11.3 million tons were landfilled, and 14.7% were recycled.

1 truck / sec

One garbage truck of textiles is landfilled or burned every second, and less than 1% of clothing material is recycled into new clothing.

40 of 41

A review of 41 studies found that all but one concluded that extending a garment's life through reuse reduces its environmental impact.

GIVING BACK

Community

EVERY 20 GARMENTS WE PRINT = 1 MEAL + 1 SWEATSHIRT FOR SOMEONE IN NEED

Renewed Threads started in Eugene, and we want Eugene to be better for it. For every 20 garments we print, we give a meal and a crewneck to someone experiencing homelessness here in town. Your order keeps that going.
